excellent bud :aok

very very nice.....
you should down load Blender and start foolin with 3d modeling....

I started this little guy last night, have 7 hrs in it so far.....I am guessing another 4 or so, id like to get it down to less then 10 hrs for a complete model...

I am very much enjoying the 3d modeling.... way more then any artwork I have ever done.....including tattooing :O

check it out I started putting up some models for sale at Turbosquid, I am going to flood TS with them...hopefully they are good enough and people will buy them....I have in progress probably close to a hundred models now....all animals or weapons of some sort...trying to decide if I should go so far as to animate them or just the models?

very cool.  only thing i would say is the rounded Photoshop / Lightroom brush strokes are a little obvious from a technical standpoint (specifically on the guy's arm)  i keep thinking you should have changed the brush opacity and hardness to make it blend better.

I think it looks great already. One look and "electric worry" started running through my head!

bang bang bang bang, vamanos vamanos!!  :rock
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

I haven't finished with his arm yet, so it'll actually smooth out quite a lot when I'm done with it, but that's a good point.  I'll be mindful of that as I continue to work it.  Thanks!

Ink, I'm only just now starting to learn to use digital pencils and paints, I'm far from ready to start modeling yet.  That looks pretty awesome though.  You make the model with wire frame then put textures on it I'm guessing?

:D  I start with a solid cube.......and then add more control points (vertices) by subdividing it....there is a mirror modifier so we only have to do half....  once I get a good basic shape I start to sculpt it....then render the detail from the sculpt on to a low poly model so it looks like it is more detailed then what it actually is....

in blender we can actually paint the object itself...very similar to how one would paint in GIMP

you do excellent work man....bringing that to the 3 Dimension would be very cool. :aok

You guys are too kind.  I am just learning this stuff, I'm really a lot better with a pencil, but I'm really getting enamored of digital tools like this.

Just curious...why do you prefer digital versus paint and are the techniques the same?
There are 10 kinds of people in this world; those who understand binary and those who don't.

I prefer digital, personally, in paint anyway, because it's less messy, there's no cleanup involved, and it's never too dry to blend if you want to.  For just drawing, I still prefer pencil and paper, because I can just do things with a pencil and paper that I can't with digital.  Not yet anyway.  ]

Using digital paint, it's not really much different really, though I never did a whole awful lot of  painting.  You just draw on the pad where you want things to happen on the screen, and make sure you've picked the right brush for the effect you're looking for.

Honestly though I'm pretty new to digital, so I may well be the wrong guy to ask.  Ink is much more versed in it and has more experience than I.  I still haven't got to a point where I can do work with digital of the quality I can with pencil and paper.  I love it for its versatility and convenience however, and I find it very easy to get inspired and draw for a few hours using the digital pad.

By way of contrast, this is what I can do with pencil and paper and erasers.

I'm not anywhere near there with digital yet.  But it's less messy and cumbersome in general, and easier to just start on a whim.  It's got limitations though, and less tactile feedback.  But it's easier to fix mistakes in digital.
