Lets bump this, with fruda's new sound pack the files are already there and i think a sound update is just as important as a graphics update.
only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.

what sound update? do you know anything about the miles sound system that is being used now? you might want to look into it so you know what you're talking about...and make sure you're headphones are compatible.

As of now we have a choice. To use internal sounds or external sounds. Both of which will sound bad if used as another. This is the whole idea of this thread, also correct 3d engines would be nice.

Uh, no. The problem does not stem from the game.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

And why is that? I was under the impression it would simply adding files

We're talking about using a different sound file for outside the cockpit, rather than just using one "Eng" (+Engoff, Engstart...) file for both inside and outside. If you look in the advanced sound options, there are external sounds listed, but they all source the same file.

It takes a lot more work than just adding files. Yes, the ground work is there with any sound pack that includes internal and external sounds; however, the sound engine itself would need to be updated quite a bit to include programming parameters for those sounds.

for him, it's more about this:

it should just be a matter of adding separate source files for external but i don't know how htc has it configured or what version of miles is being used.

Correcting the 3D sounds would be a lot more work than just adding separate files for externals.

I would rather see internal and external sounds first.
