Raises hand as one of the old AW 1.4 farts.

286 10 MHZ had a wopping 8 FPS, it screemed as commpared to that 8 MHZ machine. Ahh the days of PC only speakers where the word Ping realy ment a Ping.

HT, any idea how fast CK ran fps wise?

I remember I had a 486DX4/100 with 16MB of RAM and a 1MB Vid card and CK appeared to scream even with the rolling terrain and running in 640x480. Of course it could of been because the only frame of reference I had was AOE/AOTP.

In CK version .91, I was known as wdge.  It was amazing back then, on my 486 DX 40 with 8 megs of ram.  I ran it on 320X200 and had a blast, but it seemed unbelievably clear with 640X480 on my roomate's Pentium 75.  We'd come a long ways from Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer, and we've come a long ways since CK.  To the producers, Keep it coming!.

I got you all beat: I go all the way back to AW 1.0 on the Amiga for which I paid $12 per hour ($6 to AW-GEnie + $6 long distance to reach GEnie).  Then AW DOS, then CK, then WB, then AH.  Something like 13 yrs online Flight  simming (and I still stink at it).

Mojave (WB)
715A (AH)
