Field resupply limit to no effect below default times.
« on: June 01, 2013, 12:30:57 PM »
field resupply should be limited to affect extreme downtimes caused by strat damage.

it should not be able to speed up rebuilding to less than 30 minutes.

"objects in range have already been completely supplied and are rebuilding at maximum speed"

Fester was my in game name until September 2013

-1  Why bother to have any resupply at all?  By your system, if we had full up strats we would still be unable to resupply anything to less than 30 minutes of downtime?  No thank you.

The current system addresses it very nicely - the more you wack the strats the more supplies they have to drive or fly in to get something back up.

-1 It's too easy to damage strats as it is. In LW, within a couple of hours of a new map the strats are down and stay that way. :furious

Let it be, imo.  I think it does a good job.

I can see festers point though. I quiet often pork front line bases and if the strats are at 100% for the ords they are often fully up before I can even rtb and rearm. next thing you know a full dar launches out of the base ya just porked :)

I don't get it Fester. You fly to our strats and kill everyone that comes near you. You're invincible in those bombers. Then you want us to be unable to resupply our fields after you devastate our strats? Not everyone in here can play like you do and if you make it so hopeless for us we'll just give up. Then you can have the whole arena to yourself.

The way I read it wrench was that you could resupply a field just not beyond its default of 30 min down time. Say you pork a ord bunker and the strats were at 60 % the ord bunker would be down for a lot longer than 30 min. You could resupply it back to its default time of 30 Min's down. To be fair the default time should start the moment it goes down but that would be hard to code I think.

I'm on the fence kinda like the new system but don't like my porking to be undone in 10 Min's :)

Lets see if I understand this correctly. :headscratch: First someone bombs our strats, say the AAA Factory, down to 50%. Then someone deacks one of our towns, auto ack down for 75 minutes. You object to my ability to rebuild the auto ack with 7 supply runs? You think I should only be able to resupply up too the normal 30 minute setting, and still have to wait the remaining 45 minutes? Why don't we just Stop playing the game? :bhead

:D I get it, Fester is just messing with us! Good one Fester!! :rofl :rofl

I think the rebuild and resupply times for HQ should change.

As it is now, it takes 2 guys in M3s (on some maps) 9 minutes to bring back up a hq without the train having made a single trip of resupply and about 11 minutes (one train load makes it in) on the maps without a nearby vehicle "EZspawn".

As far as resupplying other things, I feel that killing every single resupply convoy train or truck should raise the resupply times above the default.

As it is now, player resupply seems to have the same effect as trains and trucks carrying 1000 times more weight.

that's not really accurate.

I dropped HQ and suffered damage to all 3 planes so I landed nearby and watched them resupply hq in 9 minutes without the train coming during that time.

The train had arrived right before I dropped and was responsible for most of the damage the bombers suffered yet HQ came up before the next one arrived.

Have you sat and watched while timing it as I have?

I have done 4 resuplies to hq by myself in a goon and couldnt bring it back up.  not exactly sure how many it takes but my guess would be 8+.

HQ is down for what ~60 minutes? I can't remember, been a bit since I took one down.

Your resupp takes 4 mins off, so add the ticking clock plus the amount of times you've reduced ~60mins by your 4min resupps
They're casting their bait over there, see?

Do you think ppl resupp towns/bases more often for the perks or to keep the other baddies from taking the base? ~3 town resupps you can replace a lost Panther...
