The tunnel leads to the still, with an escape route to the end of the driveway.

I strung a bunch of fishing line about ankle high in the back yard near the fenceline of my house in miami about 1988.

The riots just over the canal from overtown happened shortly after and we were having dinner in the screen porch out back when a perp. streaked past somehow not tripping on any of the lines.

The two cops chasing him got tripped up but they never figured out why they fell because a third one soon showed up and ran right into a wheelbarrow nowhere near the lines and they had to help him.

Lots of cussing.

The next night, that wheelbarrow collected a perp. streaking through the yard and he limped off as I chased him with the water hose I was using to fill up a car radiator.

Good times.

The story lacks a few items to make it truly believable. There should be a back pack, a butt crack knife, a scorpion bite and a dismantled P51 in the hanger to make it authentic. At the very least there should be a demented homicidal cat in there.  :huh

Dont forget that if he would of got punched in the face, it wouldnt of hurt because it hit solid bone

It's not really a tunnel . I built this house on a hill and have a door that drops down into the basement out the back . I call it the tunnel when me and father was building the house .
Come to find out they was looking for the guy next road over . He skip bond I guess . All I know . Trip me out .

Gotta be honest, this story is caca del toro.  Even here is LA, that is aggravated assault at the least and a home invasion if it is someone else.

Sorry, this story is full of inconsistencies.

Are you sure you didn't help out in the Hurricane relief in Haiti?

Embellished. Probably happened like this:

Flench answers door with a slice of pizza in one hand, beer in the other.

"Oh, huh...well I am FLENCH, not Frenchie"

"Okie doie, sorry to bother you sir, good night.

4 pistols?  What morons.  That's just 3 extra the perps have a chance to grab.  Taking a pistol out of a holster isn't much faster than a good combat reload cycle, but nobody ever got shot with a spare magazine.  In my training for "the shxt" by actual real seals and special forces types, I came to like some of the concepts they taught us regarding primary and secondary weapons.  Having 4 pistols carried externally is just offering to arm your opponent and a couple of his friends.  Pri weapon, secondary weapon you can get to in a hurry, and maybe a concealed backup gun that can't be easily grabbed in a fistfight.  Plus a pointy knife no more than about 5-6" long, with a good beefy handle strong enough to punch through bone and give a good enough grip to pull it back out again.

I'd have a hard time not laughing if some SWAT wannabe (or a real SWAT cop armed like that) showed up at my door wearing 4 guns on his legs.  I'd probably offer him $10 to hear his story on why he isn't a Navy Seal, because they all have some outlandish excuse ready to go when people ask.

I'm not scared of anything but those two guy's did not need no gun's . Those two game warden's were the two baddest men I have ever seen and at 51 I have been around . Those bounty hunters were a bunch of wimps but those two game wardens were not . Guess you have to be down here in MS screwing around in the woods . I don't know where the game wardens came from . Have never seen them before and hope I never have to deal with them in the woods or on the lake I'd probable RUN !

Not sure about MS, but in Texas a Game Warden has more power than Jesus H. Christ himself.

don't be surprised if they end up being former seals...just look for the ink, you'll know.

If they're wearing 4 guns, probably not.  In my training class, all the "gun nut" contractors were SWAT types.  And yes, they all had their stories ready on why the SEALs wanted them to join but they had to turn them down.  And the ex-SEALs tolerated them but usually seemed faintly amused by some of them.

I always find it funny how guys say they "were invited" or "recruited to" be a Spec Ops type but always "turned down the offers" when it came time to put the pen to paper and sign the line. The former frogs, snake eaters and rangers I know always have at least a knife on them if not two and nearly always carry a pistol or have access to other weaponry they can get in a hurry.

To be clear, not all of the ex-swat instructors were nutters.  Some were very competent and down to earth, with realistic training and techniques.  But a couple had far more enthusiasm than experience, which is about as kind as I can put it.  I learned something from every one of my instructors, but I think the attitude and practical mindset I got from the ex Seal was probably the most valuable.  He was very matter of fact about pretty much everything he said, including some actual experiences that many people would expect out of an action movie.  But he focused not on the story or his part in it, but on what we could learn and apply from his experience.  The stories told by some of the SWAT guys usually focused on how hairy their situation was and how they were awesome.
