Yak cockpit
« on: June 17, 2013, 06:55:27 AM »
Is the Yak the only fighter without an updated cockpit (movable controls/gauges etc)?

Why hasn't it been updated?

Ki61 Tony?  There are others as well.  Give them time, I'd like to see a new Ju88, B26, and SBD as well.  Heck, I think we'd all like to see all of the first generation models upgraded.  In due time they will be.

I hope to see the Ki61 remodeled and the and Ki100 added at the same time.  Ditto goes for the Yak 9T/U remodel and adding another Yak or two.   :aok

I'd love to see all those planes updated. Among the top ones that I want to see updated are the F4F and FM2! I'd fly those a lot more off cvs if they didn't look so ugly.

This thread:

Well that is very interesting. Looking at the books on Waffle's desk. There's the Soviet Combat Aircraft of the Second World War Vol. 1: Single-Engined Fighters and then I see a back cover of Squadron Signal's Yak fighters in action.

I'm guessing Yaks are getting updated as we speak. Hopefully there will be more variants coming!

Nice pics, thanks for posting!

When the Yak's are updated, I want the little mark on the back of the prop to adjust the PBP gunsight for the HUB cannon IP at 200yds. Even the P51D had one for a quick visual reference to make sure the gunsight hadn't been bumped or used as a climb out of the cockpit handle by the pilot.

Any of you old Yak drivers the least bit worried when HTC updates the Yak graphics we won't be able to hit anything? That's what?? 11-12 years of muscle memory?...... :joystick:

Update the Yaks, add the -7 and -3 variants, and add some additional Soviet fighters...

...namely, the LaGG-3 and MiG-3.
