Anyone here still playing Warz? I just got back into it with the massive price reduction of the game, its $3 on steam - I even have my own server setup (using a 1 year game server that I got for free a while back and didnt use).

WarZ always looked lke a crappy ripoff of DayZ to me. Personally though I cannot wait for the DayZ standalone :x :x :x

Not only was is it a crappy rip off, the developers are a little on the shady side as well.  The devs just changed the name of the game to Infestation: Survivor Stories, in an attempt to escape their deserved bad press.  Save your money and walk away from this game.

Thanks to you, I just went and signed up.  Butthead.

I'll play for awhile, I'm sure.  I hope to find a G3 or FAL to use.  I'm bored of the AR and AK platforms.   ;)

That, and to avoid the whole World War Z lawsuit from Paramount.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Warz is still fun, unlike Dayz with the hacker problem - plus Warz's zombies are plentiful, dayz an idiot on his first day can figure out how to just run through a building and lock up 10 zombies to escape.

Maybe if the standalone comes out I would check it out, but when I look at both games, Warz "Could" of been better - Dayz however has a while to go, assuming they ever get the hacker problem under control (doubtful)

As someone who played Warz (when it was actually still called Warz) a lot, to say that War Z has no hackers is quite delusional at best.

Apparently you didn't read my comment, I didn't say Warz doesn't have any cheaters, but as someone who played BOTH warz and dayz - at least "warz" has punkbuster, Arma II is just infested and it will never shake that problem.

I'm on Day 5 of Infestation, in a week solid of playing I've seen only one cheater, Dayz I managed the first hour and someone was already blowing up Cherno. Until the standalone comes out, I won't touch Dayz again.

I'll stick with the crappy devs and crappy game, before I go to one with pure hackers.

My problem with WarZ, other than it's actually a sub-par game and designed with nothing else in mind other than a quick cash grab while roading the coat tails of DayZ, is the development team.  They are a very shady group, at least the head of the team is and I wouldn't touch a game their studio makes.  They do not have a good reputation in the industry.

Hell isn't this every game company? its one thing or another - whether an under developed game, or bugs that never get fixed, my biggest problem is forgetting the crappy Dev team that designed a game only to find out they designed something else when half left the company and started anotehr. I know not all are bad however given how bad Dayz is overall and the time it takes for a patch/fix - I wouldn't go back unless stand alone proves to be hacker free, without bugs which is never likely to be done at this rate.

Right neither neither game nor company is very bright, however given the options, Warz at least allows me to run around without a hacker popping up 10 seconds later behind me and killing me. One thing Warz has going for it is cash, if the Dev's get off their rears and start fixing up the game its going to run away from Dayz.

True Warz's Company has a Bad Rep, but I've seen far worse - even if warz is a half assed game its the best zombie game out there right now.

Their (warz) version of punk buster is a joke as well, I've played both and they are both full of hackers. I'm not defending either, and as Ack-Ack has mentioned they are super shady. They lost a boat load of cash from people buying it for $20 on Steam, as their description of their game was very misleading. I haven't really played Warz or whatever it's called now since early alpha, but it quickly gets tiring when you spawn in, walk and get aimbotted. YMMV though.
