This came up the other day on 200 while we were stuck on one of the sucky maps. There should be an option to vote to skip a map since most maps are usually unanimously hated by all but a few, or loved by all but a few (those few being the same people in both examples).
The voting would work like so:
A new map comes up and a player starts a vote for a different map.
A message goes out to everyone in the arena that a vote has started.
Players can vote Yay or Nay for if they want to keep the map or move on.
If a player doesn't vote, it's an automatic Nay.
Each player can only vote once and for the vote to pass, more than 50% of each country needs to vote Yay.
If the vote fails, then the ability to vote for the next map is disabled for 24 hours.
If a country owns more than 15% of the another countries fields, then voting is disabled (to prevent greifing)
A note on the populations for voting, if you vote and leave then your vote doesn't count. If you join, you get a message telling you that a vote is in progress and your vote will count (so everyone gets a chance).
Just an idea that I liked, wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the subject.
