Oh yes, there's a lot of stuff that has been used for the regular MA's and the custom arena over the time.

But that's far from the stuff that has been announced with big fanfare, including at least two press releases in 03 and 06 you can still find on many websites. (Yes, AH II itself was once announced as AHII Tour of Duty, incorporating role play elements)

The "role play elements" has me a little worried. :noid

I would have loved such a thing :)

When I think about it, my own stats tracking is actually some kind of replacement for that - By tracking all my career stats I'm kinda adding some "history" to my imaginary pilot character.

The irony of this was that back in 2009, as referenced above, Hitech posted a wishlist which actually resulted in a lot of those ideas being implemented.

Going forward, it would be nice to see a similar list, or as Dale and Doug called, a 'wish list' that would 'roadmap' the next six months, one year, and three years.  Tech is changing so much it will be interesting to see how PC games develop the next 2-5 years.  But HTC does have to keep on top of these new initiatives (I.e. Oculus Rift) or this game will become outdated and dead in a year or two.  And none of us want that to happen.

Aces High is indeed needing a major overhaul as there are lot of new tech and graphical enhancements that are now available that wasn't there when Aces High II was released. And with the advancement of new technology pieces, it's critical that HTC keeps current.

Those details would be ideal on how Dale and Doug plan to take Aces High.  That should be answered first.

If i rememeber correctly European Air War by micropose was what i imagined Combat Tour to be like, pick Axis or Allies, pick the squadron u wanted to start with and work your way up doin various missions,  seeing if u could servive the war, also having new models of aircraft available to you once during different stages of the war.

I remember with EAW, hydraulic leaks, oil leaks,no ammo counters, grass airfields, if u bailed in foreign territory u done and also if u were killed u had to start over.

Several years ago I recall somebody asking about maybe getting AH on the X-Box.  Hitech's reply was "What's an X-Box?"
