Finally got a new rig
« on: July 02, 2013, 04:33:50 PM »
Been out of the game for a while now, but decided to drop a load of cash on a rig.

i5 Haswell 4670
msi Z87 G45 mobo
8gb corsair vengeance ram
256gb SSD
H60 cooler
GTX 760 GPU superclocked

kept my NZXT Tempest case, sentry fan controller, 2TB HD and 1000w psu. Keeping the cable routing neat is still a nightmare for me. mainly the beast of a cable supplying power to the graphics card. It looks like a kraken is taking over the inside of the case, though making a mod feature out of that springs to mind. I have loads of rubber strip to neaten any holes I make in the case, but the more I look, the more I realise I need a new one, the psu cables are pretty thick too. Not sure If I want to drop more cash, but I really want to see what I can overclock it to.

get a lot of twist ties and hide cables behind the back panel and inside the hd trays.  I have the same case and mine looks a bit better. I also put the fan controller in the top bay and hide all the extra wires from the top fans on the top cover.  the rear fan is rerouted thru the top.

all the cd, hd connections are routed thru the back and.  look up td's builds and you will get a pretty good idea about making it look a bit better.

Low 50s after running what? And at what voltage you running?Try Intel burn test and see where your temps are..That's what i use for a quick stability test..

What fan is that on your Radiator? Is it a Sickleflow?

So you have never run a stress test on you 4.9 OC?And you don't know your voltage?Post a link to CPUZ for me to look at..

Nothing. It just might be hard to belive that you OC your CPU almost to the zone where liquid nitrogen cooling is necessery yet you get 50 C on a simple water cooling  ;)

Its just the same as saying as my coolant is as awesome, on idle its at 15 C in the summer  :lol

that's what happens when you just make assumptions debrody, as usual.  you dont even know what I have on my system even though I posted a picture. and yet you come here giving expert opinions  :rofl.

and you can say whatever you want about your system as it doesnt really matter to me.  the discussion was really about air flow and tide up the cables on minke's computer.  but go ahead make it about something else  :aok.
