Without seeing the link, I'll guess it was EVE online.

Ack Ack's reference was the best clue because a friend who plays it told me about that scandal.

At what point does it become a waste of time and money?....Shortly after his ship got blown up I presume?

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Well, the ship itself wasn't that great of a ship.  It was how rare it is that made it expensive.  There are only 3 in game (Now only 2).

For me it would be the second you realized that saving it was impossible.

From the looks of it I'd say the moment you start the game for the first time. That game looks like a gigantic time sinker with little returns for non *** retentive personalities.

EVE is an amazing game. It can be extremely complex and the learning curve is huge. I was never able to "get into it" - I attempted to get into corporations for newbies to learn the game, but the application process took weeks. It really isn't for everyone (including me). I was really hoping to like it back when I downloaded it for the first time 3+ years ago.

I played EVE online for about 6 months, mainly just mining. Saving ISK to but the next big mining barge or skill book. I was in Blackwater Federation which is a quite sizable corporation but I just got bored with it. I really couldn't get into the whole space thing I guess. I'm a WW2 guy at heart, so I had to come back here.

I love both AH and EvE.  I play them both about the same.  Both are amazing games. :)

Eve online, one of the worst games ever made, ever.

Scumbags everywhere, thief's, scams and just general bellybutton hats rules the game. Gang bang is the rule of thumb, not the exception. I think i have a 03' player by the same name as my forum name here. But i honestly cannot stand the game the universe the people or anything in it, and it sure as $&%* is not worth the 15$ a month, or even the time to get the ISK to get plex's. "Dont get me started on the chinese ISK farmers who jumped all over that game for YEARS untill they started taking a profit THEN CCP desided they needed to do something and indroduced plex cards" gee thanks guys for saving your own sinking ship two years after a buncha chinamen started cutting holes into your boat.

The entire game is trash, the company who makes it is trash, and most of the people who play it are trash.

STAR CITIZEN, ARRIVE SO YOU CAN STOMP THIS SACK OF CRAP GAME OUT OF EXISTENCE!!!!!

Psh, screw that "trading" stuff. I'd just want to fly a starfighter and blow crap up.

Although Trade Wars back in my BBS days was pretty damn cool.  :D
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
