OK, maybe try crazy gluing them so that they don't move?  I'd probably try it in your situation, as it's really weird if the calibration is drifting around.

I wouldn't glue the trim dials on the joystick, just use a small strip of duct tape over the dials to keep them from moving.  If you glue the dials, you'll screw yourself royally if you'll need to make any adjustments for whatever reasons.

how did the T16000 experimentation go? I wish it had the buttons and hat of a CH, or a CH with the T16000's sensors...

As a sidenote digital joysticks like the T16000 don't need calibration, ever  :D

Keep the talk up guys.  Am thinking of buying a 1600.  My old logitech 3D Pro getting long in the tooth.  It has done fine service though at a great price.

Other than initial calibration I never had to calibrate my CH stick.

Something is horribly, horribly wrong there.

And by that I mean, something other than 'bad stick'.  Although from your previous posts, I can't say where to begin, things seem like you've been doing it right.

Have you tried other brands of sticks? I'm just curious, as you seem to be the only person I see here that has this issue to the degree that you do with CH sticks. Most seem to have very stable sticks that work solidly for many years. Again I did buy my CH stick before they were bought out so I can't speak of the present quality, I do know I can take my fighter stick out of storage, plug it in, calibrate it, and it's good to go.

actually more people have it,they just don't post it here.   the ones with stable sticks go back a couple of years before me.

I have CH stuff and have no trouble with calibration. Haven't touched mine in a lonnnnnnng time.

My brother in law just got a T16000 and I helped him set it up. I love how smooth it is. I still get a bit of nose bounce.... mostly due to excitement when fighting with my CH stuff, but his stick is very smooth.

my CH stuff is about 5-6 yrs old and still works well. I was using an x45 throttle because im a trim wheel addict but it died so Ive got an old x52 throttle with two trim wheels that work well.

Ive been wanting to get a warthog stick but am not sure its quality made like CH gear even though its way over priced.

I've also had/have two Ch sticks. Both were spiking/drifting out of the box. Tried all the well documented fixes to no avail. That, plus the poor ergonomics always led me back to the X52 ( which has it's own issues ).
Now, I use a MSSW2 FFB with an X52 handle grafted onto it. Currently modding a Suncom Talon grip to fit the Sidewinder base.
Point is that no product is %100 failsafe. Some people get a lemon on occasion, even from well  reputed manufacturers. Joysticks are like cars in more ways than one.

Gewehr, I'm curious as to how new your CH sticks are?

Fester, I will say that the Warthog is impressive in it's feel and appearance, but I'm not willing to say that it is worth the money. Especially if you have a CH set up that is functioning well.

Sik,
First one was purchased circa 2005-ish. I got the second one within the last 24 months anyway. Both had the exact same issues. Never had any issues with the pro throttle ( which I still have) or peds ( which I sold to a fellow AHer ).
