Dead reckoning
« on: July 14, 2013, 01:26:24 PM »
Get rid of Nintendo game navigation and force players to learn a little dead reckoning.

No more little plane in the middle showing direction and location.

Put degree hash marks around the clip board map.

Create generic plotting tools to use on screen.

Maybe some day throw a few more landmarks on the map.

Fear? You bet your life...but that all leaves you as you reach combat. Then there's a sense of great excitement, a thrill you can't duplicate anywhere...it's actually fun. Yes, I think it is the most exciting fun in the world. — Lt. Col. Robert B. "Westy" Westbrook, USAAF 6/<--lol@mod

Finding combat is already a nuisance as it is. You want to make it harder? :confused

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.
