You do not see a benefit, and nor do I, but that doesn't mean there isn't a benefit for some folks that live through data a bit more than we do.

I don't see any harm in doing this if HTC wants to.

You can't buy "who won the last map" at the local store like a 6-pack.

Gee whizz gyrene.  It was just a simple request to know who won the last map when a person logs in.  Nothing sinister about it.  Haven't you ever logged in and seen a different map and wondered who might have won the last map?  Sometimes a team is on the verge of winning, then next time you log in, the map has been won, and it wasn't the team that was ahead the night before.

I'd like to see the whole map winning go further someday too - baby steps could be an achievement for winning the map, an achievement for winning it 3-times in a row, an achievement for "defending" (loosing) on a map after a long fought battle, and maybe some incentive for the previous "loosers" to defeat the previous "victor".

i didn't think or assume there was anything "sinister" about the wish. to be perfectly honest i've never been remotely curious whether or not a map was won or who won it. my only concern is what's going on from the time i log in to the time i log off.
