who won last map
« on: July 18, 2013, 10:16:21 PM »
I would like to see, when you click on the clipboard, then country status, who won last map.  And it could be under the line where how long the current map has been up.

quick question, what would you do with such information and why would who won the last map make a bit of difference? it's not like you can get a re-do on the last map if you don't like the previous outcome. using the information to determine what side you fly on with the current map doesn't guarantee that the side you fly on is going win the map.

And yet it is a very frequent and popular question in the MA. Players like to know if their side has won the last map. After all, most players are country loyal and a lot of them do fight 'the war'.

I'd think, if it didn't matter to them, they wouldn't ask...  :old:

To know if your team won or not is the difference it makes.  ;)

That's what they are fighting for, and if they 'worked' hard for that goal it's probably nice to know if it has been archieved.

i disagree...most players don't even know where to look to find out how long the map has been running.

they are "fighting" for brownie points and as long as they are in the arena "fighting", they are achieving their goal. once they leave the arena, whatever influence their efforts had, is null and void.

You're being a tad short sighted here I feel.......  Most players also don't take the Snail Time needed to make stat pages for all of us, right?

i disagree...most players don't even know where to look to find out how long the map has been running.

And you are wrong, flat out, unless of course they changed gameplay........   If you log a certain amount of hours on a map, and your side wins it, you get the reward also, do not need to be logged in.  (Unless they changed it, it's always been like that)

interesting, short sighted for asking what innocuous information would do for the individual player except satisfy a bit of curiosity. now if Lusche had made the request, it wouldn't be difficult to figure out what he would do with it, stats is his thing. i don't pay attention to Lusche's stats, or pretty much any game related stats without a reason, which doesn't include a need to satisfy my desire to stroke myself on the back like many around here are apt to do. if knowing who won the last map had some impact on how the current map plays, then sure, the information is useful. if someone wanted to know how many times each side has won the war since 2001, then someone like Lusche could use the info to compile the stats and give us a bright pretty pie chart.

you need to have been flying on the winning side for 12 hours before the map gets won from the last i heard. if you haven't logged in for 24 hours or more, no benefit.

If I'm remembering correctly, you have to be ON the winnning side for at least the past 12 hours; even if it took 3 days to win the map, you would still get the perk award...and I don't think you even have to up one sortie.

I really see no harm in this wish. Just like they show how long the map has been up. Which, by the way, doesn't really change the gameplay does it? I mean, do people play different if the map has been up for 2 hours or 2 days? There will always be those who grab bases as fast a possible; there will always be those who just want to fight; there will always be those who want to fly bombers at 30,000'.

i've never really cared enough to pay much attention...but i could have swore the you had to have been logged in on the winning side for at least 12 hours prior to the win.

Adding more words to that one below is where the shortness comes through Sir.  Who am I, who are you, to tell the community what should satisfy them?  If 2 people per tour check the map winners, and get some satisfaction from the data, and continue to play the game, continue to pay,     how can ANY of that be bad?

...satisfy...

I just think in order for "us" to continue enjoying the game, HTC may need to make some allotments.  Whether that be adding an arcade style arena with a reward system, or maybe just adding the backend data gathering and whatnot.  Whatever works to hold the customer.

 :salute

sure thing, granted, but i'm still going to ask. not telling anyone anything, just asking why they think they need something of no actual benefit.

i think i need a 6 pack of mountain dew every month to play the game, should htc consider accomodating that? i think i need a new plane to fly every 2 weeks, should htc accomodate that? i think i need a free month for every 6 months of maintaing my subscription, should htc accomodate that?

there are limits to "whatever works to hold the customer".
