Some Visual updates
« on: July 19, 2013, 09:46:54 PM »
I'd like to see some graphic details updated please. Particularly gunfire, splashes in the water and maybe hit sprites. Just a few small features that still look flat and dated.

Perhaps the option to change tracers to green/red as well as the current color?

+1 to initial wish and +1 to my addition. Apologies for Hi-Jack.

I would very much like to have different hit sprites based on size of gun.  Maybe .50 cal and smaller use the current.  20mm has a small orange sprite.  The 30mm uses the current for it.  Then the bigger stuff like the 50 on the 410 and the 75 on the B25H get something new.

Im only giving it -1 because I wouldn't want to fly into furballs and have it look as the picture I attached was indicating.. that is all.  :salute

No way to changing the tracer colors by player choice. But like Moot posted (dont forget Japan), I don't see why not for planes/guns/country's that used a different tracer color other than our current default color. Would be great for planes with different gun calibers while using All Fire.

My main wish for the graphics is that all of the effects seem behind the other updated game graphics. Fire a gun continuously and it looks like a candle. These graphics still seem 2-D compared to the other more realistic vehicle features.

I like the idea for the new sprites and the tracers. I don't fly with tracers anyway but it will look purty as I watch the furballs from above. Some new sprites may also shut the "We need better graphics" guys up for a little while.

My 2 cents is that I care more about game play and new GVs/AC than "improved" graphics.  I also care about frame rate.  There are other games out there which emphasize graphics, usually at the cost of plausible flight / vehicle models.  Their rationale is that the majority of naive users will never notice so long as the graphics are snazzy-looking, and they are probably right, unfortunately.  Let's not go down that road.
