critical speed buffeting tied in to ground speed instead of true air speed

I noticed this when I flew one direction at a speed below which you would buffet from overspeed and performed a 180 degree turn to find the same speed put me deep within buffeting.

True airspeed was the same but the groundspeed changed because of the winds in the arena.
