Mobile maps
« on: July 23, 2013, 05:20:13 PM »
I wish there was an AHII app for target assignments. I could probably build one with Flash (I sense Skuzzy cringing already) and maybe for something like Android using one of the latest app engines. The problem is the high resolution maps that we have on the clipboard. I don't know how to find one of those if there is one.

Everything else would be tedious but possible.

challenge, lots of players have made maps with numbered hangars, ords, etc.  I replaced the built in maps with those and that's basically it.

out of curiosity i transferred those maps to my galaxy tab2 and voila!  I have them open, i can zoom in and out.  no need to have an app.  unless of course you want one.

as for the other comment on your wish.  yes I do think we should have higher resolution maps.  :aok

What I would like to build is an app that allows the user to move around the map, select a field, zoom in, see the position of the town relative to the field, and so on. . . I can make the same maps (and have) of small, medium, large, strats, vfields, . . . but I want to do something more.

So. . . no answer. I have to guess that the clipboard version is part of the game and does not exist as a stand alone graphic?

The clipboard map is part of the terrain.
