Custom weapon load out

Ability to configure your own ammo configuration (similar to Il2 Cliffs of Dover). Certain rare or powerful ammo types such as incindiary and high explosive rounds would/should be limited or even perked. So for example, instead of every 5 rounds is a tracer, you can opt for every 3. Or if you know you'll be bomber hunting, take HE shells instead of armor piercing.

The idea is kind of interesting, what I'd like is the ability to set 'bands' like some squads did (or so the internet told me at some point) so you could go from 1 tracer every 5 to 1 every 3 at 25% or however you want it.

How much input did the individual pilots have to the crew chief?  Did they get to specify their loadouts?  I know I'd sure like to tell him to unmount the MG's on my 109K.  I'd also like to be able to tell him to shoehorn in the other 2 20mm's in the front of my 410.

However, for A2A, it would seem to me there would be no advantage to anything other than HE.  Also, I assume you're not proposing HE versions of .50 cal and .30 cal because that would be silly.

Doubt it'll happen, but it would be fun.

question is how much perks? we don't do this right and EVERYBODY will be taking HE, AP, INCENARY etc..

one of the hitech staff, I think it was pyro stated earlier on that they wanted to perk ammo.
This would corelate with that idealism.

And isn't the 12mm SAFAT on the C2's similar, now that I think about it?

It would only lead to people abusing it. The strongest rounds would be used all the time. It would change the "normal" power of the guns to be the "maximum" power at all times.

I'd rather have HTC model historic beltings, but have them NON-adjustable.
