change FM2 to a 35eny ac
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:34:47 PM »
FM2 doesn't justify the current 25eny it carries

Its underpowered
Its undergunned with only 4, 50 cals
It can be out turned by Latrobes P47d25
It has holes in the floor on either side of the seat so one shot will pilot kill ya from those angles
Just about any Aircraft in AH can out run it or out turn it
It has little to no chance of downing bombers with only 4 50 cals
Over all performance should put this ac way lower than any 109 in the game all of which are armed with 20mms at the very least.

Basically no one should ever fly this piece of junk it doesn't even have a stick in the cockpit.

It is one of the best turning fighters in the game and is very tough.

That you got out flown by a P-47 in one *guessing based on the P-47 quip) has little to do with the airplane and lots to do with you.

Agreed.  You'll like it better if you spend more time in it.

There can be a lot said about most of you points but this

It has little to no chance of downing bombers with only 4 50 cals

... is a vast exaggeration :P

I for one use the P-51B with the same 4x50cals quite a lot for buff hunting. Sawing off wings, setting fuel tanks ablaze and killing the pilot... it works!  :old:

Agreed.  It is all about using the 4/.50's in the "zone", being at or near the convergence setting and not wasting ammo otherwise.

The FM2 has exactly the same 4 0.50cals as the P-51B.

FM-2 is a fun little bird. Very forgiving to fly, can take a HELL of a beating, (assuming you even get hit. The FM-2 is a DAMN small target) good maneuverability, solid if not spectacular gun package, and a TON of ammo. About its only real vices are top speed and rate of climb.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I notice that you "Sunfinn" land a lot of kills in the FM2.

(For tank-Ace I changed from blue to green.)

I'm not seeing any color, which is they way it should be :P

To the OP, you seem to have a lot of issues with planes and vehicles in the game. First the M4(76) isn't that great, second the FM2 sux....
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.
