e.mailed to htc

Yeah, it cost me 149 perks testing but it was my choice of plane that caused the loss........ but it was fun.

Friday night I think I experienced this same bug.

Settup: Was upping for a long distance fighter escort to rondevou with a squadie in buffs over the Rook strats in a P-51D, 100% internal and 2x75gl externals.  Target altitude was 24k.

Execution:
-Spawned on medium airfield NE runway (if you need the field # I can look it up), set manual fuel select to Aux, WEP T.O., turned to autoclimb heading East.
-WEP climbout until (I think?) ~50% Aux fuel tank and turned WEP off manualy.  Continued autoclimbing on manual Aux fuel until ~33% remaining (typicaly I aim for a hair above 3/8ths on the guage), re-cycled to auto-fuel management.
-Still autoclimbing East, I (think I) was above 14k with 10k to go, I remember deliberatley checking that auto-fuel management was back on and that it was feeding from my full externals.  I went AFK for a smoke outside, sometime between then and returning I had discoed from the server.

The problem:
Upon reconnecting my aircraft was in a state of full internal fuel stores, one external tank jettisoned, and the remaining tank with ~70gls of fuel left.

This is not so much a problem as it is an inconvenience when all things are considered, but I do see a potential to limitedly exploit it (fly light internal and full external inbound, to be in a better state of preparedness incase enemy intervenes, if not then after your internal stores are too low, you induce a disco and refuel your internals from the externals.).

This bug was fixed and I'm currently unable to duplicate it.  What arena were you in Friday when it happened?

I've not been able to duplicate it after the fix.

I think it has been reported before but the P51 often reconnects with one or no drop tanks and the wep burnt out.

Bustr told me it was fixed too after I reconnected and observed the bug.  So I made the mental note to be sure to report it.

I was in the LWMA.... *scratches head* I'm 80% sure it was really late friday night (early morning hours in Texas), might of been Thursday or Saturday night.  Definetley was after 11pm my time and one of the last times I flew the pony-D in the MAs.

Edit: Since I've only flown two nights this tour so far (I think), this flight might be easy to find in the MA logs, since it should be my only P51D sortie this tour in the LWMAs, and the only sortie this tour I can recall that I actually got through to land.

I think it has been reported before but the P51 often reconnects with one or no drop tanks and the wep burnt out.

Don't know if the DT issue is related, but the rest is working as intended (it should reconnect with WEP used-up for all WEP-capable ac).

We are supposed to reconnect with WEP used up? Why?

In a nutshell; the WEP timer in your ac in AH is being tracked on your client end (on your box).  When the client terminates, this tracked valuable is lost.  To keep things even in the spirit of multilayer combat, rather than reconnect you in a fight with a fresh engine (0%) it assumes worst case scenario and rapidly warms up to (100%).
