a good fight....

I was rtb tonight with a few(6) scalps... had enough fuel to get back... saw a yak flyin parallel with me heading to my base about 5k out 3 oclock...  was keeping an eye on him... I see the distance close and nose towards him thinking he will just ho and run... well, he turned that lil bastage hard and caught my 6 and was closing... yikes, I misjudged that!!!  so, I pull him on in for an attempted reversal and the fun started... he got a shot on me, I saw him pass and got his oil, then he went vert and I couldnt pull up to shoot him, I flopped to left and then dropped right wing and came out behind and below him, left flaps down too long and that was fatal, I pulled up and had a kill shot on him but got a mini freeze right when I pulled trigger, flopped out, no E, he pulled sharp to cut my corner and I got towered!!!!  great lil fight!  <S> Joach1m!!!

Had a few good ones with him the other night as well had my chances but lag has been beating me as much lately as good pilots. No question he is a Good pilot. You better make your shot cause he will make you pay for not making it

me!!!!  i DIDNT WANT THE FIGHT!!!!   I wanted to RTB damnit!!!  .... but as it turned out, I got my chance in the fight, and enjoyed it much better than landing the scalps of Lazer I had on board!!!

If I'd run into a good fight or two, i might still be playing....ya'll let me know when there are more people who fight than run....

This made me realize something I'd never thought about before. And that is, once a player reaches a certain skill level where he can out fly most pilots he meets 1 on 1 the number of runners seem to go up because they still make that little mistake that allows the con to get away. Whether it be a missed shot or the other guy just has a faster accelerating aircraft or you're picked by that 2nd con. This stage seems to go on for a while until a persons skill level improves to the point where he can hold his own in a 2 on one. Rarely do you see 2 cons running from you at once. Once you get to the point where you can beat both cons.....or at least one, that's where the fun really begins as almost every fight is fun at that stage.

So if you want guys to stop running from you, you have to do something to keep them in the fight. Fly like you're an easy kill...low, slow or maybe in a not so great plane. Make them interested and then kill them before they can get away. All this is easier said then done I know. It takes a lot to seat time and 100s of deaths. Very very few come to this game and are quick to learn this. There will always be exceptions like Joach1m and some of the others. But once you can master judging your cons E and learn how to hide your own until just the right moment, create angles and overshoots it's a whole new ballgame. Don't get me wrong...you'll always find someone to clean your clock out there, that just the way life is. But once you take the game to the next level a brand new enjoyment kicks in.  

P.S. I have not reached the level I speak of but on some days I can be damned close.

The best way to stay in a good fight is to park the uber rides and fly something with an eny of 10 or higher.

Fighting 1v2 against yak3s or lala7s is always a losing fight.

 I always find good fight everytime I get to play. Truth is I die most time but I do have fun. My skill level is not has high as most in game. One good fight with my $15 month
