Palemoon: A Firefox Alternative
« on: August 20, 2013, 03:09:00 PM »
For those of you who are not happy with the direction Firefox has been heading, you might want to give Palemoon a try.  It is a spin off from the Firefox development.  It uses all the same plugins as Firefox.

This is not an endorsement.  Just and FYI type of thing.

Thanks, and yes, I've also been disappointed in the direction Mozilla has been going.

I'll check it out.

Skuzzy, I wanted to thank you for this heads up.   Also, I do not like the way Mozilla is taking Firefox.    Again thanks!

So I'm not the only one that noticed that Firefox feels as bloated as IE now.  I'll try Palemoon, thanks Skuzzy.

I used the Firefox app installer.   No pop ups here as Ad Block Plus is being used now.

There's an easy solution - don't watch youtube. Don't you know that Google paid adblock makers to whitelist their 'non intrusive' ads? :)

I do not see any ads, but I have explicitly blocked youtube from running java scripts or parking its cookie on my system.

Been using this browser for a couple of weeks now.  I like it better than Firefox.  I also like the developers attitude and philosophy about it.  Hope he holds on to it.

Wanted to test it - but looks like it's only for windows.
