didn't the cadi cts's use a saab based drivetrain?

eeeewwww, no, yuk. What GM did to SAAB was take the Chevy Trailblazer and rebadge it as a SAAB SUV...... and try to pass it off as a SAAB. In reality it was just a Trailblazer with even uglier headlights and grill.

Truthfully, tho, I don't know about the base CTS sedan mechanicals. The CTS-V drivetrain def was not SAAB, but the base V6 could well have been.

Ford trucks rock. They saved the Ford corp. Unfortunately they are so good , and popular, you cant find very good deals on them. I ended up buying a Nissan Titan. Its been a good truck, and powerful, but Nissan blows as a company. I'd have rather had a F-150.

I'd like to know how Nissan "blows as a company."

They make some good cars/trucks, and I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Fairlady 350z or a Skyline R34.

Hell. I might even go as far as getting an R35.

yea, and i could go to the navigator/expedition too. but they ARE different vehicles.

So how exactly are they different? I don't see any difference body-wise as to a few minor details. My friend's Mercury Sable is pretty much the same as a Taurus except the engine is a lot more complicated to work on - according to him.

Same body/interior but different engines?

i've no clue there either. i thinnk he's just planting the hook.

pobst said a couple things about the stang. yet revan racing ran 20 minute stints down at homestead, with no problems. they were walking the zl in lap after lap, till the zl had a heatsoak problem, lost power, then it was all over. this was a zl with a bigger intercooler if i recall.

to be honest, i'm still trying to figure out the brake fade thing on the stangs, 'cause they have the same basic brake system as the zl, 'cept they weigh about 400# less. there should be no brake fade....unless they're still using dot3 brake fluid, then it may be getting too hot........

is this

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/2013-shelby-gt500-413/860621-revan-racing-2013-gt500-vs-torq-zl1-track-homestead-6-30-2012-a-3.html

the comparison you're talking about? If so that is pretty funny.. hehe Two track folk 'with a lot of track days' is giggle worthy but both cars are modded.. So that kinda opens up a whole new world..  :noid

Dot4 brake fluid is not used in production cars that I know of..

The Zl1 did 7:41 at the ring... hehe  :devil

The Z/28 is gonna be a monster for sure though.. Rumors are it beat the ZL1 by 3secs at Milford and faster at VIR as well..  They expect the Z/28 to be in the 7:30s at the ring.. Which will be the fastest bang for the buck you can find.. haha

Did you pay for it or did mommy and daddy pay for it, just like your other cars?

If you wanna see a real Rally Raptor look no further.

In this one Andy McMillin has modified his Raptor to take on the Baja 500. Cant run anything stock on that track or you'll screw over your truck faster than throwing it into a lake.

lol what exactly had been paid by my mom and dad?  I had 2 old cop cars bought at auction price. Sold them! Bought an f150 for 7500 that I saved up and from selling the cop cars. I just bought this 07 by selling the f150 for 13000 and selling my snowmobile for 4500. Tyvm

And you think I'm going to rally a diesel? Lmao ohkay tard, take that truck to a drag strip or a self pull and see where a true truck comes in to play.

So you had a good 5 grand to throw out on 2 cop cars? Possible, but I saw an alien last week. He tried to steal my cookie jar.

You say you also got 13k out of an '07 F150?

Bull. They didn't even go for 13k at the dealership brand-spankin-new. KBB says that at perfect condition with low mileage the F-150 would go for 8.8k max at a dealership. No way anyone was retarded enough to give you 13k for an '07 F150.

Btw rallying in a diesel isn't the worst thing you can do. Having much more torque/power will help a hell of alot more than not having it in the mud and sand.

Have you ever watched a rally race? People do bring diesels to them.

skorpx1, diesels are not as good for rallies as gasoline engines, they rev to slow, and move way to much weight to the front end

That doesn't stop people from bringing them in.

The video was to show that diesel rally trucks exist.

It doesn't make much sense to build a diesel rally truck and then never use it in a real rally, unless you like throwing away well over 300k for  no apparent reason.

That truck is the furthest thing from a ralley or off road racer. Maybe use it to pull one but that's about it.

naviguesser has totally different suspension. different interior appointments, which are(to the best of my knowledge...i could be wrong..) mostly not interchangeable......

taurus has a more "spartan" if that's the right word......interior. i think some of the stuff's interchangeable.......not sure there though.

nissan altimas. if they smell moisture, they rust like an old chevy.
