SAT prep is nothing but torture for your poor kids. When they're doing 50 multiple choice questions, their friends (if they even have time to make any) are out enjoying their high school years. You want to help your kids? Buy an SAT prep book with a bunch of practice questions, sit down with them every night and do a few problems. It's a giant waste of money and I see no benefits over practicing at home. Of course, it's up to you as the parent to make it a priority. Your kids get to enjoy high school years, you get to connect with your kids and vice versa, and they study better and improve. If you don't have the time for a few minutes with your kids every night, then sure, go ahead and put them in a SAT course. Though, IMO, that's just....meh.
