Something I like in the main...the map changes after a side victory.
What about in the CT a series of Scenarios which have objectives to both sides. The briefs to these objectives are published at Hitech so you can look them up. The thing is, they are built up by a CT group of players from both sides and assisted technically by Hitech Creations for the Server to decide that those objectives have been achieved and a new map comes online...as well as a maximum number of days that Scenario stays in place if the objectives have not been met by either side.
Scoring is part of the above parcel.
The important thing is to establish a team of Scenario makers who make up the Map/Terrain, Objectives, Plane/Tank/Ship/Train/Vehicle sets and scrutinised by the CT membership, it is then passed to Hitech to add their magic for scoring and DB stuff. We do the ground work, Hitech Creations put the values in. The scenario runs for a period, comments come in about balance, objectives etc...some modifications go in to tweak it and it gets republished. We build a repository of these Scenario's where we get medals
for our efforts in these Scenarios etc etc.
Maybe it's all been said before. With regards to CT settings, icon range etc. I think the people who play/make these scenarios should vote (per scenario) on the settings and they can be varied to suit all sooner or later
The KEY thing about this is of course if Hitech Creations can implement the objectives.
eg: Dropping 500 troops onto a town, moving 20 tanks onto an enemy field. Straffing 200 vehicles in specified areas. 10 Trains destroyed. ie. The Server counts our objectives as the Scenario is played and if one side succeeds, it is displayed on a list. Also, if the objectives are not met within time constraints, it is reset.
Oh yes...we could have short quick maps...for a couple of days and a couple of long Scenarios...on other days.
Enough waffling
