The reason we moved the game from the "Program Files" folder was primarily due to how Microsoft forces all sub-files in that folder into a virtual store, which has no direct path to it. It made supporting the game a nightmare.
Microsoft does other things with files and directories in the "Program Files" folder(s) which can cause performance issues.
Personally, I stopped using the "Program Files" folder(s) since Windows 98SE.
You never want to install the game (or really anything) in the "Program Files" folder(s). If you want to move the game from the default location (I use a "Games" folder on my computer), then it should not be a problem.
As far as where the game is, you can use the "Start" menu to locate it, unless you are unfortunate enough to have Windows 8. In which case, simply wait until Windows 8.1 is ready in October, or use the Windows Search tool to find "aceshigh.exe".
