Icons appear in grey...

Just got a new computer.....I got friendly and enemy contacts in grey instead of red and green  :headscratch:

Got all GUI set properly and changed them then reset them back. any thoughts?

Intel video chip is my guess.  There are some limitations to the Intel video chip.  The real problem is the inconsistency of how each chip displays the game, which makes it difficult to keep creating work-arounds for all the various short comings of the product.

A DXDIAG output would give the needed information.

Intel chip is the first that comes into mind, indeed. New is not a synonym for powerful. Just in case you have somewhat of a gaming capable laptop with two graphics circuits, make sure AH is running on the more powerful one.
