Looks like SF-260s.  Good planes from what I've been told.  Back when my Dad got his flight, the basic package was around $500.
I've already set aside $200, and putting $50 aside each month to eventually get to here

But what about the cost? ANd Flight models/damage models :noid

I paid about 1500 bucks for 8 flights. There is no damage or leading the target. Once you get the pipper on your target you pull the trigger and smoke trails from the airplane.
The pilots radio "knock it off!", separate and remerge. Its like a 1v1 in the DA...

Pilot height limit 6'6" ....  :bhead

Not that I would be able to afford it anyway  ;)

I squeaked by with a 1/4" to spare lol

Keep in mind that their business model took a huge hit after some high profile accidents.  T-34 wings were shedding at about 3-3.5Gs due to undetected corrosion if I recall correctly.  I think nowadays they focus on corporate events, but I might be wrong.

Air Combat USA use different planes and for the life of me I can't remember what they are. 2 seater side by side...

Wow...

Can you put some references to NTSB investigation?

Have the pilot/trainee survived - (AFAIK any aerobatics require the crew to be stripped to a parachute)?

It was a costly inspection issue that basically destroyed the value of T-34's overnight.  I have several friends that lost thousands in value from the AD's.  Their aircraft were all meticulously assembled and maintained.  Unfortunately, with aviation, you frequently cater to the lowest common denominator.
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

I bet one of us could cream the competition. I mean for all intents and purposes, we have more experience with aerial combat  :bolt:.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Air Combat USA put on a good day for the folks I was with.  There were 4 of us booked at one of their travel locations, myself and another AH player to duel and of the other two one also was an AH player/member of The Damned.

The Marchetti's are good ships, forgiving enough and handled well.  This was back when they were using VHS recorders so I never came up with a decent digital copy and the hard copy has disappeared into space since then.  I do have a nice wall photo of my airplane tucked up with the other airplane to remember the day.

All in all it was a lot of fun but I ended up needing a little break after we got into a vertical scissors and going from +4G to -2G right NOW when the IPs broke us off for getting too close to one another.  That scrambled my gyro but at least I didn't revisit lunch.  We did 5 fights against each other and then we took on the others IP...that last one didn't go so well for either of us!  Per our request they didn't add advice during the fight or talk us through much because we wanted to put our virtual fighter prowess to the test.  For me being aggressive enough in the merge took a couple tries but eventually got comfortable enough to use the airplane by the end of the day.

I've wanted a rematch for quite a while.  RV6, if you're reading this it's on me this time!
