i think he's talking about flashing the amount of damage done, the same way it does for bombers.

then again, Zacherof is getting to be like Midwho, anything for a little attention...  :lol

Crappy idea, as the first 2 responses alluded to, we already have way to many hero's that think climbing to 20k and suiciding into the radar is an accomplishment worthy of applause and accolades.

"System: Worthles destroyed 3 immobile objects on the ground while ignoring the enemy aircraft trying to have a fight and then augered when he was out of rockets so he could hurry up and do it again"

If the accomplishment you endeavored to complete isn't self satisfying without your name in lights it isn't worth doing.

In both scenarios you produced the "worthless pilot" crashes.  That would not show damage landed.

I like the idea myself.  Heres an example, not two minutes ago I dumped a 500kg and 12 rockets on a enemy carrier. When I land I'd like to know what I did for damage.  AND!!! Since I did not just suicide into it, landing damage proves that.

If you up a Boston or Ju88 in attack mode you still get damage attaboys. Hence it's ride orientated not mode orientated.

As to any benefit giving such stuff to all rides .... OK but put a perk threshold on it

I would like to see all attaboys reach a 2 perk threshold before "System" posts them. Then the attaboy will also be taking into account ride type and kill type before posting.

think it would be cool to show a message but for only to yourself that shows points earned and perks.  and keep the perks in the hangar for those that want to disable the message.

It would be an incentive to do more than simply strafe down a single object and die.

I'd love to see what kind of damage numbers you can achieve with a F4U1D or 110G or me410.

Plenty of people like seeing their name come up.  Happy people play more.  Needs to be balanced with not clogging up the text buffer.

that is why it will only be viewable to yourself.  otherwise it will spam the text buffer like crazy.  only you can view your own damage.

I like this.  I agree, I don't want SPAM in the text buffer, but I wouldn't mind haven't a SYSTEM message saying

You have landed successfully
SYSTEM: You have done 2583 damage

^^^^^^

I would be the only one to see that. That way I know what damage I did, and no one else gets 'hounded' by it, and if they want to know I can simply tell them!

+1 to this.

+1 but only for the real attack aircraft.

110, 410, P-47, F4U-1D, maybe P-38, perhaps the Typhoon. The 190F-8, Mossie.

Uhh.... I think that about covers it.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.
