When and where would you use it? What would it provide, dot dar? More granular dar bar info? Would it just flash if planes were nearby? Would it provide that radar information only to friendlies within a certain radius, or to your entire country?

Perhaps it would function analogously to a CV group, providing a mobile additional radar.  This has definate game-play consequences, though.  You would never know if the radar was down.  Also, if it was (re)spawned from a vehicle garage, it would be essentially immortal.

Or someone could drive it into a nondestructable hanger and be immortal.   :D

Mobile Radar trucks would be interesting if we had historical value to them, for example one of the things that hurt the japanese in the southwest pacific theater was the allies had radar on land, at the time radar was mainly only used on capitol ships because it was so big and heavy (something the Japanese did not even have on ships yet).

However, we have radar sites on Ships, Fields, Vbases, what more do we need? Its already a handycap to have them all over the place.

The Japanese also had land radar in the SWPA, though not as advanced or reliable as the US land based radar.  The Marines captured a short range early warning radar during the invasion of Guadalcanal.  During the initial Japanese march across the Pacific, they captured British GL-type radar sets as well as a couple of radar US radar sets at Corregidor and incorporated these captured radar sets for their own use.

While not at advanced as the Allied radar at the time in the SWPA, it's a myth the Japanese didn't use radar themselves.  There was even a special unit of Blackcats that was formed and outfitted with radar detector kits to hunt down a Japanese radar that was being used to detect Allied planes.

until they refit their capitol ships, the Japanese ships lacked radar early on during WW2 where the allies had portable units already in place as well as most the capitol ships had Radar. I didn't say the Japanese didn't have radar period, but it was extremely limited in where it operated. Unlike now in game where every Japanese base has its radar ring, reality is most would not have it for example Wewak - the airstrip there was not given any radar and had to deal with surprise B-24 raids because the interceptors were not off the ground. I'm pretty sure the major bases, Rubaul, Truck and Saipan had radar setups, however some of the outposts elsewhere lacked radar (Wewak and Lae for example).

Of course the range of radar was much greater than it is in AH, if I'm not mistaken. And one big thing that can be difficult for scenarios to recreate is that the Germans could see the bombers coming long before they even got within range of the interceptor groups, and their course could be indicative of their target.

And the Germans still holding the French ports even after they were cut off and surrounded.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

People park CVs at strats, easy to find and kill. Mobile radar truck, a little harder. I like the idea though of players being able to tailor the map in this way themselves, to re-arrange the environment how the team feels is best, could extend this to re-routing trains, supplies and other items.
