Aces High has the best simulation and ability to use tactics that were used in a sandbox environment.
They still have to update many things in the planes and GV category, not to mention fixing our titanium trees and cement-like water

.
However, I am slightly... edgy on the FPS that is being asked here. In BF3 when you take a Tank it doesn't take long to find combat, because the arena is smaller than in aces high. The tanks 'respawn' and the only downside for the player, is they have to wait 7 seconds and they are back in the game.
Here in aces high, the environment is quite large, sometimes taking an hour or more to reach combat. Why would you want some nooblet (or jerk) to grab a "anti-tank weapon" and kill your perked vehicle?
Even with the skills of HTC it would take years for them to make a decent quality FPS that would be able to effectively interact with the tanks and planes we have now. It would further isolate our lesser-quality-computer brethren for there would be more information for the players' computers to process. Not to mention the costs of the hardware that HTC would have to purchase to be able to run such a game.
While I like the concept of being able to jump out of a C47 parachute down and fight in FPS perspective for the maproom. I can't see it happening within the next 5 years. At the very least, not on BF3 or even COD quality..
HTC has too much they have to update, from adding new planes and tanks, to polishing the current ones to the "upgrade da graphicz" issues. Not to mention adding submarines and player controllable battleships...

And also, what about the impact on players. (Like I mentioned before with the anti-tank weapon to your perked tank (and/or plane ) ). It would further 'isolate' the GVers, the furballers, and add a new category.. the FPSers.
I would rather wait a few more years (or however long), to ensure that what we have now is polished and done correctly. Then, HTC can work on a FPS aspect of the game.
Just my thoughts.
