nice screenies brooke!

it sucked that we had 4 scouts out looking for your second wave in good time and we went fuel critical about 1 grid north of where you must have been, we RTBed thinking we could get back up before you finally turned north.   Tilt found you with very little time to spare so our second intercept was a bit rushed.  If we had been less efficient and assumed you would leave it late for the second attack again we should have gone for a beer down the pub for 30 minutes before starting our second sortie.

It was the only one thing that didn't go right in the frame for us purely down to fog of war and luck!    You might have heard what happened to a ju88 group that got found nice and early and dealt with in the appropriate manner at the start of the frame!

Next week the heat will be turned up to maximum in an all out do or die battle for the RAF and I cannot wait!

Well, apparently based on PMs the powers that be weren't very happy with me participating, so I will withdraw from any further participation in AH Event activities. :frown: :salute

Middy, I attempted to PM you some elder mentoring (scenario) advice. Was blocked  :bhead

In a nutshell, you can quit or you can get on board with the established protocol & procedures.

Consider your way.

I appreciate the attempt, Max.  But this will be my last post, all PMs are blocked. I've decided to move on. Thanks to all that have helped me over the last three years... and to those I've offended, you have my sincerest apology.

I'm generally a very nice person, but as a wise pilot named Changeup once pointed out, this game changes you, and that change for me will now cease.  Good luck to all and know that my admiration and respect for the talented and nice people in Aces High was and is sincere. It has been an often fun and interesting three years.

How did the Battle of Britain scenario involving multiple CM's, months of planning, over 120+ pilots on both sides become about Midway?  Gah.   :bhead

Just to be clear, Midway was not asked to leave.  He was given a choice, same as everyone here has.
Keep the MA and Forum antics out of scenarios.  Don't be a disruption and a distraction.
Participate with or without the antics.
That was the choice.
He made the choice.  He chose not to participate.
Everyone in the game is allowed that same choice.
It's interesting to watch unfold sometimes. A few, and I mean a very few players seem to have a difficult time understanding this concept and want every line item of conduct explained, yet so very many players just seem to get through the day without ever having conduct explained and do just fine.
Playful banter, bickering, competitiveness, "feuds", whatever, all of that in normal and expected in games and forums.  When it becomes a distraction and a disruption, players are asked to tone it down or risk their ability to participate.  Always given a choice, if they feel the antics are more important than the event, they are free to make that choice.
Less drama guys and gals, this is war not a soap opera, go shoot stuff.
ROC
Nothing clever here.  Please, move along.

If I understand your message correctly, you've chosen to leave and scenario AND THE GAME as well?

Midway, I simply don't understand you. For a year or two now, I more or less regarded you as a blathering, narcissistic youngster...both in-game and on these boards. My guess is, many other players came to the same conclusion. Simply put, you created the persona you relish to portray.

That said, I took a step back and re-evaluated my opinion. You posses many admirable qualities and I get the sense you are a kind, intelligent individual. Hence my decision to aid you in reclaiming your name, and offering you tidbits of elder mentoring. Despite your congenial manner (most of the time) you lack the skill to stay quiet and listen when the need arises. Unfortunate for a person as bright as you seem to be.

Not too long ago Bruv went to bat for you...saying that despite your apparent shortcomings as a pilot and loose lips...you always sought to fight the good fight, regardless of outcome. Strength of character comes with discipline and endurance. Should you carry on with your decision to leave the game, I wish the best. Should you decide to stay, listen to the wisdom of those who've tried to extend a helping hand in terms of the game, and the lessons of life.
