Battle of Britain Scenerio
« on: September 14, 2013, 05:53:37 PM »
Just spent the most exciting and enjoyable 3.5 hrs in many (AH) years flying for the RAF.

I heartily encourage anyone not signed up for Frame 3 (next Saturday 3:00 pm EDT) to give it a shot.

Frames 1 and 2 were absolutely awesome!  Definitely one of the best things AH has to offer.

A great time indeed.

:salute to the pilots of the 92 Spitfire Squadron that I had the pleasure of leading into battle today and to the brave Luftwaffe pilots that opposed us.

Also a  :salute to RAF command and to Search and Rescue operations.

This is the best of AH hands down.

It was a heckuva fight and a great time.  Sounds like the RAF had as much fun as the Luftwaffe :aok

This scenario significantly increases the survivability of my bombers over the MA strats when it's running. I was able to lower my bombing alt by a considerable margin without fear of being shredded by hordes of competent fighter pilots.  :old:

I only can encourage every competent Bishop and Knight fighter pilot to join the next frame of BOB13   :devil

:O   :rofl  Oh that's just too funny lol  well played!
Turnout is growing, this is turning into a fight, you're only going to have a couple of handfulls of defenders in the MA by the end of this.

I was bored and jumped in on this frame. Literally the first Special event thing I ever did and it was awesome! I ended up getting 6 assists. SIX!  :cry Oh well, I got 2 kills as well.  :D

Thought I saw your name pop up.  Glad you jumped in.  Seems like you'd feel at home in a 109E  :aok

Were you flying for the RAF? I've noticed the number of assists on our side has been very high - .303s mean a lot of people are likely to put lead in a Hun before he goes down. I'm guessing the same is true for the bomber gunners.

Loads of fun, though, and I wouldn't trade my beautiful Spit for a clunky old 109E for all the 20mms in the war.
