The maps that have a Tank Town are filled with non-strat buildings for a reason. They cannot be captured and will earn the BT zero perk points for hitting them. There is no reason for BT's to go in there other than to disrupt the GV'ers from fighting. When the GV'ers go into a Tank Town, they could care less about conquering the map. They go in to enjoy fighting other GV's. it s not complicated. The WW1 air fields have very deadly Flaks and you do not see pilots vulching enemy air fields. Most dogfights take place in neutral territory down by the river. That is what the programmers had in mind. I would like to see the very same thing implemented in areas that were designed for GV's.

The CraterMA terrain for example has a section just for GV'ers. The designer of the map (Greebo I believe) raised the elevation and put in really high mountains, yet you see BT's with allot of time invested flying in to get the GV's. if flaks are placed around the buildings the BT's will stay out. If the BT's want perks and to get their name in lights, bomb the GV's attacking their airfield.

If you have a better idea or a suggestion leave a post here or start a new thread.

 :salute

I go there to get easy kills on Gv killers.. If u up a fighter and go there and stay at 10k u can perk farm all day....

<snip>
We are just talking about TT anyway, so why would a plane need to fly within range of a Tank?

I think because of the very same reason tanks 'need' to get close to the runway of an airfield ;)

And as much as I hate it being bombed in TT: -1 on the wish. You might better ask for a separate GV arena if you want a sanctuary. The MA is about the interaction of all kind of combat, even though everyone of us may dislike some of the symptoms and results of it.  :old:

We're talking about Tank Town here, not the general MA.  Inherent in the concept of TT is that aircraft will be absent or at least restricted; otherwise any part of the map could serve.  Again, in TT, since airfields are generally absent, tanks won't "...'need' to get close to the runway of an airfield...".
