Don't presume.

No presumptions.  My use of italics and the word "you" was meant to imply that I read it, but you did not.

I forgive you.   :old:

No presumptions.  My use of italics and the word "you" was meant to imply that I read it, but you did not.

pre·sume  (pr-zm)

v. pre·sumed, pre·sum·ing, pre·sumes
v.tr.

1. To take for granted as being true in the absence of proof to the contrary.
2. To constitute reasonable evidence for assuming; appear to prove.
3. To venture without authority or permission; dare.

v.intr.

1. To act overconfidently; take liberties.
2. To take unwarranted advantage of something; go beyond the proper limits: Don't presume on their hospitality.
3. To take for granted that something is true or factual; suppose: That's the new assistant, I presume.

pre·sump·tion  (pr-zmpshn)

n.
1. Behavior or attitude that is boldly arrogant or offensive; effrontery.
2. The act of presuming or accepting as true.
3. Acceptance or belief based on reasonable evidence; assumption or supposition.
4. A condition or basis for accepting or presuming.
5. Law A conclusion derived from a particular set of facts based on law, rather than probable reasoning.

When I suggested you not presume it was inferring that I read what you're presuming I didn't and it doesn't change my opinion to match yours.
