I agree, more "range" than "diversity". Though for your example you needed to bookend it with Black Flag and Patsy Cline.

That's a pretty diverse list. I have all of the big music genres covered and some of them I hardly like. I don't mind jazz or blues but they aren't really my cup of tea. Note that I don't like country music and think it is the biggest POS genre ever. However without it rock and metal wouldn't even exist, so I do give it some credit.
