A good potential perk ride
« on: September 22, 2013, 05:03:07 PM »
Does anyone here remember an old game called Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe? So far as I know, except for a few poorly modeled versions for MS Flight Simulators, no one has a good working Dornier Do 335.

Has this ever been talked about on here as a good potential perk plane for high altitude interceptor missions?

Just curious because I loved flying this thing way back when I had SWOTL.

Plenty of times.

But it was never in operational service in WW2.

All the more reason to put it in the game. Play out those "what-if" scenarios.

Hitech has "rules" for airframe inclusion.
1. Must have seen combat(debateble in general)
2. Must have seen squadron strength

After all the missing major WW2 toys had been added, yes. Big gaps in the genuine WW2 plane set still open.  :aok

Well. This ain't SWOTL. Was fun in it's day but that's not what AHII is about.

The Go229 did fly, but was never operational. It flew in the US post-war as well.

We have so many aircraft that need to be added in game that served in combat during WW2.

I once argued just because the TBD Bomber would be extremely useless in Aces High, scenarios and never flown in the MA - however historically speaking? The Do-335 doesn't even touch it.
AS for Aces high there has to be a balance, Main Arena players and Scenario players. We need to fill out aircrafts that served their time out of respect before we throw in planes that didn't even get off the prototype stage.

Maybe when all the Combat flown aircraft get done, we can maybe look into Aces High 1946.

Which should also be its own separate arena.

As for the OP, -1 for pretty much every reason already stated.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I don't remember this aircraft in SWOTL..... Secret Weapons of The Luftwaffe is what got me started in AH2. I was looking for something similiar and BAM!
.... ACESH HIGH 2.   :neener:

I don't much care to hear the following from my dad when talking about AH2:

Does it have the GO-229?
...No, it wasn't in WW2 operationally, therefor it's not in the game.
Well that's F***ing stupid, my GO-229 and my pilot "Wolf" could shoot down you in your b-17 before you could squeeze the trigger...
...Yes, dad you were good in that game, and yes dad, those cannons would shred B-17's.... Now please join this game so I can shoot you down...  :joystick:  :old:
