lol...no kidding.  There's only a couple because comments were shut down because the reviewer was being hammered.

Indeed. I've long since stopped reading reviews from "professionals". I now rely on reviews from ordinary people on the intardnetz.

My wife wants to see it too, we'll watch it when the kids go to bed.  She likes horrific shows.  She likes to watch the TRULY horrific movies about kids in hospital or ones that have dogs die in them.  Those I can't watch.   :cry

Spoiler alert -

Good movie, but I had a couple of "issues" with it.

1.  The guy who gets stuck in the pipe.  He could easily be rescued by those guy he ordered to leave.  They will be back, they work there I assume.

2.  Ending up at the place owned by the big huge guy.  That was stupid.

3.  The ending would have been better if she fell into the arms a GScholz lookalike in a blue helmet while on patrol.  A good fire fight should have ensued and girls rescued etc.

I agree. The ending could have been better, but at least it wasn't a "Game of Thrones type ending" as you put it. ;)

Well, it was almost one...she ended up at the doctor's place.  Nothing happy would come of that, but she'd probably kill him I guess.  She's kinda like Arya.  :)

The guy in the pipe:  She should have had a pair pf pliers she carried around with her to get in and out of the ducts, or something.  Then she could have pulled out that guys tongue and chopped it off....better than the rag.  She should have stabbed his eyes out "for effect" too.

I'd be good at horror flicks.  :)

Well hopefully it was part of a furnace or something and the crew turned up the heat when they returned to work... I can dream... ;)

That is exactly what my wife said.  Pretty darn clean looking pipe for being part of a furnace though.  But, I like the way you think.  :)

I watched one more horrific film this weekend.  Actually, more of a horrific performance, but I need to vent.

This actor:

must never, EVER be allowed to sing again.  EVER.  Seriously.

Other than that....the movie is not bad if you like musicals.  If you are a fan of Le Miserable in particular you will both like and hate it...primarily because Crowe butchers the part of Javert beyond all recognition with his...*ahem*...'vocal talents'.

Stick to gladiator movies, Russell.

Going by "Hoplite" now. :)
