I've made some progress. I managed to download Mitsu's sound package. When I go into the AH files it does not allow me to rename the "sounds" file to something like "sounds 2" which then would allow me to rename Mitsu's sound file to "sounds" so AH reads it. I did copy several sounds, such as the 190A5, etc and put it into the existing "sound" file though the thought of doing that with every file is a bit...tedious.

How do I change the name of the original sound file?

copy your AH sounds folder to your desktop....after that delete your sounds folder in AH folder......

the custom sounds should be in a folder called "sounds" put that in the same folder you just deleted the original "sounds" folder from...if its not named "sounds" make it so.

that should do it.

I usually just copy (not move) the AH sounds folder then copy Mitsus sounds over the originals.  Never had a problem.

thats why you want to save the original folder on the desktop..or somewhere you wont forget...easy to go back to original one in case of any issues.(you should also save your "settings" folder) JIC

Easiest way (in my opinion) is to just delete the empty default Sounds folder and put the soundpack folder (named Sounds) in it's place.  And remember to never put one Sounds folder inside the other.

I think, but don't know for sure, you have to keep the clear.txt file in the sound folder.  Some sound packages don't have it or have an older version.

I usually leave the original sounds folder where it is.  Just rename it to sounds-original, then create a new folder and name it sounds.  Drag the sound pack to the new sounds folder.
Any of the above suggestions will work also.
