I just hooked up my new monitor. Its pretty impressive already.

Rich - congrats! How do you like it with AH?  I know you like many aspects of going 1440 -  and that ultra-wide view.

I am running a Viewsonic VP2770.  I love it.  As long as I can keep the food particles  off this beast, I can see enemy dots before they see me.  The graphics - well, that is just amazing.

Yeah I like it very much. Now I have my other 27" as a 2nd monitor but this Asus is definitely the bomb. I havnt played much AH in it yet but have played some BF4 beta. Definitely a nice gaming monitor. My eyes are going to hell and I love the increase in resolution. :salute

anybody have any thoughts on any of these monitors?  I need to buy two but I am not willing to spend 500 bucks per monitor.

proof is that you can run any bezel compensation with AH, I personalty run 5904*1200...I bet AH looks very large and immersive  on those 21/9 screen, without the problems of having 3 screens on the desk

I use bezel compensation as well.  The game runs at 5990x1080 without problems.
Going by "Hoplite" now. :)

Skuzzy - Very nice!  Thanks for sharing, and I am going video card shopping!  Gotta keep Mrs. Ammo in the dark though - she would not approve :D

Just got my Viewsonic VP2770-LED.

Going from a 1440x900 19" screen to this is quite a change.  My system is handling the 2560x1440 resolution better than I expected.  Offline in AH I was getting 25-55fps, which given my system's makeup is much higher than expected.  Not sure if it will be playable online though.

The screen is large enough that it cannot be seen entirely at once and you find you need to look around on the screen to see everything.  I wouldn't want to go any larger than 27" while still having it on my desk.  I am quite glad I didn't go for a 30" screen.

I don't see any ghosting on it, no dead pixels and the colors are very vibrant.

Thus far I am very happy with it.

I also don't have to turn it on and off about twenty times before it will actually display what the computer is sending it like my 19" was requiring at the end.  :p
