I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Np, just caught my eye, no need for lengthy speculations over this or that. Simple question, simple answer(er).  :salute

Right, if you mean at the same time then the answer is no.

One account, means one "player". If you want someone else to use your other computer and fly WITH you then the other PLAYER needs his own account.

There can only be one instance of any given login/game ID in the arenas, but you can play from any computer you like.

Probably a long time ago but just to check - It was once possible to play on two computers at the same time in a sort of head to head or limited arena situation without an account. - I am pretty sure that is no longer possible either.

You use to be able to do a LAN play, but that is no longer available.

Can I create a 2 week account on my wife's PC next to mine. Then using the same Internet connection, log both PC into the game server under different credentials? Or do you restrict IP and or MAC addresses to a single account?

I'm being lazy because I could just go to the trouble of installing the game on her PC and try to logon.

I don't subscribe to having a second account open while you are playing. That won't stop a muppet from whacking you.

But, from recent tests starting from college age down to Jr. High. The incidence of cheating or lying to achieve personal success being normal and acceptable has increased to 1 in 4 in the last 10 years. Beats the 80\20 rule. And some in this game want Hitech to make side switching at will because there won't be any problems. WoW!!

How would that differ from a con where dozens of players share one connection through a router? Plus there's more than one couples or fathers and sons currently playing.

It would differ because the second account would be a free trial 2 week one not a regular account such as Cons and families playing. We know two or more regular accounts will work fine but what about one regular account and one trial through the same home router at the same time.

I did something similar recently.  I am paying for a second account, which I am using to try to recruit some family members.  I was on my computer, and my brother was on our other computer.  I set up a custom arena, and we played tag for a awhile.

I don't know how long I can afford to keep paying for a second account, but I might just get him hooked.   :t

A two week trial is as valid as a paid subscription for the two weeks. At our cons we've had two weekers without hassle, and at least the wireless routers have always been home versions.

I'm little bit late, but:

No, not at the same time :)
