Beat me to it Klingan.  There are a few other places it's available cheap as well, but Steam is the easiest and that's what I used, and got it for 8$ a short while ago there. 

Don't think that the Fusion mod is just for multiplayer, it changes the game completely, in fact, I never have even tried multiplayer, as that's what I do here in AH land.  It's really worth if for the single player experience.

Ha! Every Silent Hunter Game was like that.

They released half-finished pieces of garbage every time. SH2, 3, 4 and 5 were all like that!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Yes. My preference as well as reference is 4 because I'm more the Fleet Boat vs U-Boat type.
