yesterday, al novotny,a ww2 b-17 gunner, died in newtown pa.  he was going to be interned at the memorial cemetary in the local area. but ITS FREAKING CLOSED! the family has decided to cremate him instead and scatter his ashes. this was my best friends grandfather, and it is sad that his wishes can not be carried out.i sugested the scatter his ashes from one of the remaing flying b-17's.im not sure if they can accomadate this request.

So they were going to bury him, but since the cemetery is closed they're going to cremate?   Why can't they bury his ashes there when the cemetery reopens?

we had grandpa cremated and his ashes were in the closet at grandma's house 'till the cemetery had the new vet memorial wall up and running.  think it took a year.  grandma was cremated and buried there 3 months later.

there were other cemeteries around but grandpa always said that's where he wanted to be, so that was it.

btw grandpa was a pilot in the pacific.  which he always laughed about it because he always said he was only 5 feet tall.  well he was a bit taller but he was a jokester.

It's not going to be closed forever.

So, he hangs out in the crypt for awhile until the cemetary opens again.

I don't understand the panic unless there's more to the story than this.

No panic. He just needed enough drama to justify a post in a game about something that happened to someone else.

The cemetary will be open long before a B-17 flight could be arranged.

Btw, your wish could be easily fulfilled here in Michigan.    It should also be a stark reminder that those you have berated via PM in game, can still be willing to help you.
