Green Desert Frame-2
Dragons over the Solomon Sea
The opening rounds of Operation Cartwheel are over. It has become apparent to the Japanese that logistics are becoming a major headache this far from the Home Islands. In an effort to keep their forces supplied and fed so they can fight back. The Japanese Navy is attempting a resupply mission running two convoys of fast destroyers carrying emergency supplies intended for Gasmata on New Britain and Lae in New Guinea. These two TFs must be protected as they rendezvous for mutual support in sector 5.11 before making their final run to deliver their cargos. The USAAF must react to this new development preventing the cargo from reaching its destination as well as keep the pressure on Japanese air fields at the same time.
