Comcast Outtage
« on: October 08, 2013, 05:55:42 PM »
Mine was down from 10am - 6 pm EDT. Heard it was wide spread along the east coast. Anyone else down today?

We had no issues here in Leb Max. I was at work all day but son is on laptop wifi all day at home not a complaint.

Now ask me what I think about the reliability of Liberty Utilities especially when compared tothe previous owner of the same damn grid National Grid.......

I've had nothing but problems with Comcast after 10 pm Eastern time for about two months now.  Maybe more.  As pertinent to AH, my frame rates drop from high 50s to single digits.

I've been with Comcast since June. Fairpoint's DSL was slow and very errattic. Comcast has been delivering a solid 31/8 mb until yesterday. 8 hrs down time. I guess the "widespread" rumor was just that.

I dropped those fools a month and a half ago, granted it's not fun having no internet, but until either comcast cuts server flips between regions I might swallow my pride and commit the sin of ATT

Haven't noticed an outage with Comcast in my area. I have had periods with them that might go over a week where the 25/4 I'm supposed to get might drop to 13/1 or 2. The crazy slow upload speeds bug the hell out of me and a quick search of their own forums show it's the norm. Been back to normal for a couple of weeks now <fingers crossed>. It's the only game in town where I am. Verizon hasn't moved into my particular area. Dunno if that'd be any better. You'd think a good dose of competition would help but then again.
