Tank Warz! Week of October 18-24th in the AvA

Wanted to put the bug out there for our ground pounders and zipper heads in Aces High that the AvA arena will be running TANK WARZ from October 18-24th.  And it's featuring a never-seen-before map by USRANGER build around ground-battles.  We will also be running Staged Missions during this week on the new map.  Should be a lot of fun!  It's HEAVY METAL TIME in one week!

The picture of the tank battlefield is actually just a texture to mark the spot right now.  The actual "tankers' heaven" is not in place yet, as it is a fully custom, made for ground fighting area with lots of hiding places and stuff to blow up.  Small hamlets, overpasses and a V2 rocket site are just to name a few.  I truly believe anyone who likes GVing will love this set up. Onother thing that's different from that pic is that the V-bases are moved back another mile to make the battle field larger.  Water will keep GVers from just driving from one base to another.  They will have to go through the battlefield and fight like a man!  A large amount of puffy will keep most aircraft from interfering with the land battle, unless they really want to try their luck.  Plenty of map left for air-to-air fighting and AI patrols.

I'm personally very excited about this one and will be in there tanking every night.  Kudos to Fork for the setup.

Then a follow-up post states:

"A large amount of puffy will keep most aircraft from interfering with the land battle, unless they really want to try their luck."

You got two days of no chance of it happening then five days of some chance of it happening maybe, but still failing. Better odds than bout anywhere in the MA. If this ain't catering to the 'tanks are all I do and I can't handle air strikes' crowd then hell, bro ....

To have more of a complete experience, for one. To not shut out a
part of the community, for another. I know you don't get it, what
with you wanting the Aces High community catering to your every
single desire, no matter how self-centered and all but this, my friend,
is about as close as you may get to your desired GV Nirvana. If you
don't even want to try it because you may hear airplane sounds from
time to time while slugging it out on the ground then keep on whining
and pooing without even giving it a try. Others will be having a good
time without noticing.

And if it were called 'Guadalcanal' then it should be nothing but an island in the Pacific. Get over the title. Get over planes being in the set. This is a set-up with GVer fun in mind. If you've decided you're not going to have any, well whine/rant/protest noted.
