Bombs for WW1 Aircraft
« on: October 13, 2013, 11:42:50 PM »
I wish bombs were added to the WW1 aircraft for more diverse WW1 gameplay.  You don't have to change the WW1 arena right away. It would be fun to have bombs just for the custom arenas and A1 missions. Of course if there were targets in the WW1 arena then players would have something to do while waiting for company.

On a side note. What's more likely to add players to Aces High, 2 new WW2 aircraft, 2 new tanks, or 2 new WW1 aircraft?

WWI definitely needs some work. It's pretty much a Dr.I dueling arena right now.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

The addition of bombs and one plane in particular..........the SE5a would .......would really help the WW1 arena.
The F2b carried bombs, and the camel had some as well. The Se5a had the upward firing Lewis gun (45 degree) that could be used to fire upwards at the F2b. That would encourage the F2b to bring a gunner along. That would make for some fun fights. The Lewis gun could also fire straight ahead so the SE5a could be used for BnZ as well, something we don't have yet in the WW1 Arena.

A little TLC for WW1. Respectfully requesting sir.

I'd welcome any development in the WWI arena. They've done it before so you never know.

SPAD S.XIII would fulfill the BnZ role just as well.

Sounds good FLS...F2B works for that, and a few targets even if they are only enemy cattle!  Spotting arty would add even more, but one thing at a time.

Mano always asks for the SE5, he is just a troublemaker  :bhead!  If there was to be a new plane, one of the Spads would be what to add, the 7 or the 13.

Hope all is well.

Nice to see you're still here. I'm hoping a small wish might get implemented sooner than a big one. Adding friction between bombers and dogfighters should liven things up.

What would you bomb? I am all for improving WW1 but what it requires is a total overhaul, new models, ground features and targets and I dont see that happening any time soon :old:y
