Debut Novella
« on: October 15, 2013, 08:45:33 AM »
After years of false starts and lots of writing for myself, I've finally made the jump, and gotten published! Introducing my debut novella, No Good Deed...!

It will soon be available through Amazon, and there will be both a Kindle and Nook version available within the next few hours, but you can check it out direct through the CreateSpace store here.

Indeed. Congrats. I am still working on it myself and the ending is way off.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Good for you. I used to write for some outdoors publications and while nothing near as exciting as your accomplishment I know what it feels like to first be published.

It's nice knowing I'm not the only person who enjoys writing here. :)

Amazon is dragging their feet making it available, but I'm keeping an eye on it (last attempt errored because of some false error in the account information  ). The Nook release appears to be available now, tho.

And thanks for the words of support, all. And be sure to tell your friends and family about it! Still working out the marketing side of this business, I'm a writer, not a salesman. :-P

Elsebeth?  I'll still pronounce that Elizabeth as I read it on the Kindle.

Elsabeth is an older and more obscure form of Elisabeth/Elizabeth, of English origin. In fact the names of all the characters in the story are chosen quite carefully in regards to their language of origin.

Congrats Saxman.  Have you posted this over at westeros.org?  It's the largest forum for A song of Ice and Fire, hundreds of thousands of members, and I've always participated in the writing and other novelists threads over there.  From a sales perspective, it'd be a REAL good idea, as many, many authors, and even more aspiring authors post there regularly about new blood.

If you haven't already, I'll drop a thread in there, it'll will certainly drum up some interest and reviews of your work.

Great job!

Thanks for the suggestion! Feel free to drop a thread over there. I'm not a fan of the series, so I don't want to go over there just to spam their forums.  :D
