Map Reset
« on: October 15, 2013, 11:08:23 PM »
When a reset occurs after a given map had been up for 6 days, 12 hours with no side close to winning, it would be nice to cycle to the next map in the queue instead of trudging through another week of an un-winable map.

And it would be nice if the next map in the cycle wasn't another week-long-holder. aka. big map  :furious

Anything but Mindanao. Worst map in all ways.

I like the bigger maps, they gives us room to breathe, room to plot, room to actually apply strategy.  If the map is small and compact then choices are limited.

Anything but Mindanao.  Horrible map.

On a second thought, why not make victory conditions for a large map 10% 10% 95%

The problem is. You can have the sandbox room and all that. But the attacks are mostly funneled combat.  Combat only happens here here aaaaaand here. Maybe here on occasion.  Which is quite annoying when we have quite a few others bases.  Bishops took quite a few bases because others were preoccupied in other areas of the map, and we lost quite a few in that week struggle due to the same circumstances.   I do like the big maps too, I just hate it that we have all these bases yet combat only is seen at a select few.    :old: .

Mindano is possibly the worst map ever.

Just look at it; whoever is on the west side can only lose a bare handful of bases before they can only fight one country.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

how did this happen,  TAGMA being left up another week?

it kills off hours gameplay.   Needs like 150-200 + just to get going.

When the arena is being reset due to ha host update, the timer is also reset. That's how it happens. But that has already been corrected manually and we are now 2 terrains further in the list.

Absolutely. As much as I like the large terrains and the gameplay opportunities they are meant to create, we just don't have the numbers to support them anymore. During the week it's only like 8 hours with 200+ and we barely break the 300 at the moment.
